Christmas Cocktail Ideas
Cheers to these Christmas Cocktail Ideas!
Have some creative fun whilst celebrating this year with some of these Christmas cocktail ideas.
If Christmas and the holiday season isn’t the time to try some cocktails I don’t know when is!
Simple Christmas cocktail ideas
- Keep Christmas classic with mulled wine. Either wine with orange and spices or mulled wine heated straight from a bottle!
- Peach Bellini. Peach juice, prosecco (easily swapped for alcohol free or lemonade) and a super fancy cherry in syrup. It is Christmas after all!
- Hot chocolate, good coffee or Chai latte with a glug of baileys topped with cream, cinnamon and a candy cane
- Warm cider or apple juice. Keep an eye out for some perfect to heat winter flavours.
- Candy cane vodka with lemonade. Serve hot or cold! Check out the step by step below on how to make your own candy cane vodka.
Christmas Cocktail Ideas
Chocolate Box Martinis
These simple but delicious cocktails allow for lots of variation and experimentation. We originally tried these combinations on an ill-fated meal at Brewers Fayre on Boxing Day 2023. They were the highlight of a truly rubbish experience.
These Christmas Cocktails are each of variation inspired by the flavours of a chocolate box.
Each cocktail contains cream and milk and then a variation of Baileys and a syrup.
Chocolate
- Baileys original
- Disaronno Amaretto
- Chocolate syrup (you could swap this to almond for even more marzipan taste)
- Milk and Cream
Caramel
- Baileys Original
- Absolut Vanilla
- Salted Caramel Syrup
- Milk and Cream
- Salted Caramel Dust to garnish
Mint
- Baileys Original

Step by step
Candy Cane Vodka
You need to create the vodka at least 24 hours before you want to use it.
First take your candy canes and crush them. Pour them into a jar with vodka and let it sit for 24hrs. Ratios of sweet candy cane to vodka is up to you but you want it to smell minty.
I used multicoloured mini candy canes which were easy to crush with the vodka bottle. But created a mudded colour. If you used just pink and white you would get a nicer colour.
Cocktail Time
To prepare your glasses melt chocolate, roll the rims in it and then roll them in crushed candy canes.
To assemble half fill your glass with single cream, add two measures of baileys to one of vodka. Stir and adjust to taste!
Variation-Here we used Strawberries and Cream Baileys and Strawberry Candy Canes!
