Gift Guide for creatives

Sharing is caring!

The perfect gifts for bakers, makers and dog mums too

This gift guide is broken down into the three things we love most. Baking, crafting and doggies!

These gifts are my suggestions for the perfect presents for any occasion, whether it’s a Birthday, Christmas or even just a little treat! The links are mainly aimed at a UK shopping audience but obviously, some links will work internationally as will the ideas. Happy shopping!

Baker Gift Guide

Perfect gift ideas for your baker, cook or chef loved one…

  • Books-one can never have too many books… well they can but let’s not judge! Cover the basics with a range of cookery books from places such as The Works
  • If you know the baker well then perhaps themed baking books and baking goodies are a good idea-such as Disney goodies or books like Star Wars Baking or generic Nerdy Nummies
  • Perhaps a baking scratch-off poster would be perfect to inspire (and mark off) culinary delights. Try 100 bakes scratch-off poster.
  • An in-person workshop or online masterclass can be a great idea to spark inspiration, try new techniques and learn some new tricks. Check Instagram for masterclasses held by their favourite bakers or try How To Cake It.
  • Reusable baking goods such as silicone cases etc are always a welcome gift. Especially in fun or unusual shapes (check out ice trays for a product with a wide range of shapes).
  • Fun baking items like embossed rolling pins and cookie cutters (again you can never have too many cookie cutters and unique designs that can mean something to someone are perfect-think animals or holiday destinations)
  • Aprons and matching goods (like gloves, tea towels) for the kitchen (these need to be washed a lot!)
  • Kitchen tidies-whether it’s for knives or spatulas Lakeland is a good shout for inspiration.
  • Then some gifts are suited to a baker but not baking related; gifts which make life easier like dinner vouchers for when it’s all too sweet!
  • Or hand care gift sets for all that handwashing!

Crafter Gift Guide

For handcrafted gifts check out our crafted gifts post or for gifts for a crafter read on

  • Books, again you can never have too many
  • Classes/masterclasses are a fun way to try something new. Try looking for sessions in the recipient’s local area (schools etc often host them at weekends/holidays) or at art galleries. Otherwise craft shops like Hobbycraft host sessions in-store or online.
  • Gift sets are another great way to experiment and try something new without a large investment. Pick something similar to what you know they already do or something completely different to spice up their life!
  • Gift vouchers for their favourite local craft store or large craft shop like Hobbycraft etc
  • Materials, tools and products that go along with their current craft pursuits (i.e. wool or yarn bowls for knitters/crocheters, colourful thread sets for sewers)
  • Handcare sets also make welcome gifts to ease sore muscles

Dog Pawrent

Finally we wouldn’t be who were with the cuddly canines so here are some gift ideas for the pet pawrent in your life!

  • Accessories, or vouchers for accessories, so they can spoil their beloved pup rotten. Try sites like Truffle Shuffle for fun alternative looks and fun products.
  • Good looking walk essentials like dog water bottles, travel bowls, and even pretty doggy bags.
  • Dog treats from fancy places-try Etsy for homemade treats, or if the recipient enjoys baking try a doggy recipe book and cookie cutter
  • All dog owners end up obsessed with their dogs breed so breed-themed items, particularly funny ones, always go down well!
  • Even better are personalised gifts from sites such as Yappy where the dog featured actually looks like their own doggy!
  • Or without spending a penny…How about “Vouchers” from you offering to look after the dog(s) for a night (or more)?

Crafter, painter and makeup artist, and mum of dogs too!
